This 5K is to benefit the many people around the world who do not have access to water. By donating and signing up for the race, you will receive a t-shirt (guaranteed if you sign up by the registration date) as well as a spot in the race, and the reassurance of knowing your money is going to give someone in this world clean, safe, reliable water.
Around the world, 780 million men, women and children need access to safe water. This negatively impacts their health, keeps children from attending school, and traps millions of people in a cycle of poverty. This all changes when solutions to access safe water are implemented.
We know there are a lot of worthy charities out there. We’ve created our own fundraiser and race for Water.org because we believe safe water is necessary for life. The water crisis is something we feel we can help solve. I hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support our efforts.
