Imagine if you had to walk a few miles instead of a few feet for a glass of water. This is the reality for millions of women and girls. Collectively, women spend more than 200 million hours every day walking and collecting water for domestic use, water that often is unsafe to drink. When women gain access to water they and their families are healthier and have more time for education, work and raising their families.
Fellow WaterBearers, Since we started our campaign to raise $16, 000.00, we have raised $7608.00, enough to give about 300 people access to clean safe drinking water. We we are halfway to our goal.
We have taken up the task of providing people with water. We are their WaterBearers.
Thank you. We must now provide water to even more people. Please, use any opportunity to spread the word. Convince others to become WaterBearers too.
