Clean Water for Bangladesh

Through the course of my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate enough to travel to developing countries where I got first hand experience of the issues faced by people living in lower socioeconomic conditions.

Now since I have completed my degree, I would like to take up a cause that I personally felt compelled toward during my studies, due to working and studying in public health for 2 years.

Lack of clean water access affects around 780 million men, women and children worldwide. In Bangladesh, over 7,000 children die from diarrhoea every year and water-related diseases cause nearly a quarter of all deaths. Bangladesh's geography provides many challenges. Natural arsenic contaminates water, putting 30 million people at risk. The lowland areas are also susceptible to flooding from seasonal monsoons and cyclones, further damaging the land.

Therefore, I am asking you to read into the cause by visiting water.org on how we can help to combat such senseless deaths. Also I encourage you to find your own cause and work with others to hopefully find solutions to problems faced in the world. Together we can all make a difference, all we need is that first initial Voice for change.

All donations are made directly to Water.org and, for every $25 that I raise, Water.org can give someone access to safe water. Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years. Together, we can change lives with safe water.
