Climb Every Munro in a Year

Jamie & Andy Every Munro in a Year

We're attempting to climb all 282 of the Scottish Munros in 2013! This challenge has already had us battling through every possible type of weather that the Scottish mountains can throw at us including rain, sleet, and snow. And, while this has occasionally led to difficulty in completing particular days of adventure, this wet weather has also gifted us with the streams from which we drink; and the lochs and reservoirs that provide us with the much-desired showers, water for cooking, and clean sanitation on our return home from days of climbing. We take this clean water for granted; we are VERY lucky!

At any given time, half of the world's hospital beds are occupied by patients suffering from diseases associated with lack of access to safe drinking water, inadequate sanitation, or poor hygiene. More people die each year from unsafe water than from wars. Lack of safe water and sanitation impacts a family's health, keeps children from getting an education, and traps millions in a cycle of poverty.

For only $25 Water.org can get someone safe water for life. Water.org has been helping people get sustainable solutions for over twenty years. We can make a difference in the world, we can help change someone's life.

As we continue to reap the benefits that the Scottish mountains and waterways have to offer throughout this challenge we would be grateful for the opportunity to raise funds for those for whom safe water and sanitation is lacking. Check out our blog on www.munrosinayear.wordpress.com to follow our progress and see how hard we're working to earn your donation!

Thank you so much for your donation!! Cheers, jamie & andy
