North-Grand HS Evironmental Sci Class

In our Environmental Science class we learned that only about 1% of all the water on Earth is fresh water that's accessible to people to use. We also found that that many people around the world don't have access to clean water.

Every minute a child dies from a water-related disease, and diarrhea remains the fourth leading cause of death of children under the age of five worldwide. The problem is enormous but solutions are available. Kids with access to safe water are healthier and can attend school regularly.

There are a lot of worthy charities out there, but this one relates to what we've been studying and it takes a holistic approach to the water problem. We’ve created our own fundraiser for Water.org because we know safe water is necessary for life. The water crisis is something we feel we can help solve - at least for a few people. We hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support our efforts.

For every $25 that we raise, Water.org can give someone access to safe water. Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years. Together, we can change lives with safe water.

Our goal is to raise $750 which will bring clean water and sanitation to about 30 people... the number of people in our class.
