H2-MOvember Water Drive

Jason Lord

Imagine if you had to walk a few miles instead of a few feet for a glass of water. This is the reality for millions of women and girls. Collectively, women spend more than 182 million hours every day walking and collecting water for domestic use. When women gain access to water they are healthier and have more time for education, work and raising their families.

I know there are a lot of worthy charities out there. I’ve created my own fundraiser for Water.org because I believe safe water is necessary for life. The water crisis is something I feel I can help solve. I hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support my efforts.

H2-MOvember:

Society is known for making trends and fads to fit the atmosphere of it people's daily lives. As the year closes we enter a fairly recent trend known as "No Shave November" or "Movember." Men across the country cry out about outrageous prices for buying razors and shaving accessories, while others believe in the natural awesomeness that is a manly beard.

There is no denying the appeal of this trend. But if you stop for a moment and image the money you save from not purchasing shaving accessories for a single month, you certainly notice the positive impact it has on your wallet.

Now imagine if instead you took that money you would normally use for shaving accessories and donated it for a charitable cause? You would get to rock your manly facial hair, and give someone less fortunate than you the chance to have access to clean, safe water that you've had the privilege to get most of your life.

Basically a Win/Win, right?

For every $25 that I raise, Water.org can give someone access to safe water. Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years. Together, we can change lives with safe water.
