Team 7-2 of Lincoln Middle School in Park Ridge, Illinois is proud to announce that we have decided to support Water.org in its quest to make clean water and proper sanitation available to everyone in the world. Around the world, 750 million people lack access to safe drinking water and 2.5 billion lack access to a toilet. We have been studying the world water crisis and will be participating in a “walk for water” on June 5th.
During our fundraiser, we will walk from our school to a water pump in a nearby forest preserve and will carry water back for use in our homes. This walk (a little over two miles) will represent the struggle millions of people go through each day to access drinking water.
We would greatly appreciate your support. Water.org, founded by Gary White and Matt Damon, is dedicated to creating sustainable solutions to the water crisis. We believe that Water.org has already changed millions of lives and will continue to do so until its mission is completed. Our goal is to help educate our community about Water.org and donate money to this worthy cause. Our campaign concludes on June 11th. We thank you for your support.
