In September, 2016 I will be riding my bicycle from Portland to San Francisco with my cousin Bree in an effort to raise money for Water.org. I chose this organization because I believe safe water is necessary for life, and there are 663 million people around the world without it. Access to safe water can change a person’s world, and allow them to define their own future.
Imagine if you had to walk miles for a glass of water. This is the reality for millions of women and children. Collectively, women and children spend 125 million hours every day walking and collecting water for domestic use. When women and children gain access to water they are healthier and have more time for education, work and raising their families.
The water crisis is something I feel I can help solve. I hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support my efforts.
For every $25 that I raise, Water.org can give someone access to safe water for life.
