750 million men, women and children around the world lack access to safe water, and 2.5 billion don’t have access to improved sanitation. Not only is this harming their health, but it’s also keeping the children from attending school and trapping millions in poverty. All of this can change when they gain access to a safe, reliable water source.
leakSMART decided to start a campaign with water.org because we believe that everyone should have access to fresh, safe water. We completely support the charitable work that water.org accomplishes, and we want to help make sure more people benefit from this.
So, for the month of September, we will be donating $1 for every “like” we gain on Facebook. Through this campaign, we are excited to donate up to $2,500, which will provide safe, clean water for 100 people.
