Birthday Challenge

Jennifer Harris Dault

I recently created a list of 40 things I hope to accomplish by my 40th birthday. On September 27, I'll be 31. One of the list items is to raise $10,000 for water.org, which will provide clean water to a small village. While I have 9 years to raise the money, I like to think big. Will you help me by giving and spreading the word?

Around the world, 780 million men, women and children need access to safe water. This negatively impacts their health, keeps children from attending school, and traps millions of people in a cycle of poverty. This all changes when solutions to access safe water are implemented.

I know there are a lot of worthy charities out there. I’ve created my own fundraiser for Water.org because I believe safe water is necessary for life. The water crisis is something I feel I can help solve. I hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support my efforts.

For every $25 that I raise, Water.org can give someone access to safe water for life. Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years. Together, we can change lives with safe water.

Will you give $3.10, $31, or $310 (or whatever amount you can) to help provide water? I've recently been following Rob Bell's fundraiser for charity:water. He has raised nearly $30,000 for his birthday -- and talked about others who raised significantly more. Let's show that ordinary folks can help lots of people, too!
