Around the world, 780 million men, women and children need access to safe water. This negatively impacts their health, keeps children from attending school, and traps millions of people in a cycle of poverty. This all changes when solutions to access safe water are implemented.
Amirah Shadia Bashir was 13 years old when she died on May 15th 2013. She was appalled by the fact that a lack of accessible clean water existed and planned to start her own charity the Every Drop Foundation.
The foundation aims to support existing charities and to carry out it's own humanitarian projects as she wrote
" The people who have nothing need us."
We’ve created this fundraiser for Water.org because safe water is necessary for life. The water crisis is something we can help solve. we hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support Amirah's efforts.
