We all go about our lives knowing that we can fill up a glass of water from our sink or refrigerator, or that we'll have a bottle of water waiting for us at the end of practice. But millions of people in developing countries are uncertain of the next time they'll be able to drink fresh water. Droughts are tearing up communities, and forcing women to walk numerous miles with gallons of water on their back. The water they bring back is full of disease as well. Every 21 seconds, a child dies because of a water-related illness. Mother nature’s small curse has turned into a wicked epidemic.
There are a lot of worthy charities out there. I’ve created my own fundraiser for Water.org because I believe safe water is necessary for life. The water crisis is something I feel I can help solve. I hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support my efforts. For every $25 that I raise, Water.org can give someone access to safe water for life. Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years. Together, we can change lives with safe water and help reverse the curse.
We will also be doing lemonade stands to help raise money for this amazing cause. Stay tuned for more updates on these events!
