Every minute a child dies from a water-related disease, and diarrhea remains the fourth leading cause of death of children under the age of five worldwide. The problem is enormous but solutions are available. Kids with access to safe water are healthier and can attend school regularly.

I know there are a lot of worthy charities out there. I’ve created my own fundraiser for Water.org because I believe safe water is necessary for life. The water crisis is something I feel I can help solve. I hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support my efforts.

I picked this charity after Silas got sick a few weeks ago. It was just a mild flu, but "just the flu" here, kills thousands of children around the world who don't have access to clean water. Water, that was the only thing Si could keep down for three days (mostly in the form of iced tea). I'm so thankful that we live in a place where he can just push a button on the fridge and have fresh, cold water; I want to help bring that life-saving water to other children.

I've set my goal at $675 which would help bring water to 27 people, one for each year of my life so far. I'd love to achieve this by March 25th (my birthday), but the fundraiser will be open through June 3rd. Any donation offered will be greatly appreciated! Thank you! DFTBA
