Every minute a child dies from a water-related disease, and diarrhea remains the fourth leading cause of death of children under the age of five worldwide. The problem is enormous but solutions are available. Kids with access to safe water are healthier and can attend school regularly.
To help raise awareness for the water crisis abroad and to help recognize the challenge children face walking miles everyday for clean water, we have set up a donation walk. The walk is open to anyone including students and families of Mountain View, Challenger, and Pine Creek. We will walk from Lulu's to Mountain View and back. Sales from frozen yogurt purchases at Lulu's on May 9th from will have a portion donated to Water.org.
For every $25 that we raise, Water.org can give someone access to safe water. Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years. Together, we can change lives with safe water.
Send an email inviting everyone you know to give water. Remember to share your story and why you are passionate about raising funds to change lives with safe water.
