Every minute a child dies from a water-related disease, and diarrhea remains the fourth leading cause of death of children under the age of five worldwide. The problem is enormous but solutions are available. Kids with access to safe water are healthier and can attend school regularly.

After learning about local and global water issues during our GATE program this year, we’ve created our own fundraiser for Water.org because we believe safe water is necessary for life. The water crisis is something we feel we can help solve. We hope you agree by giving whatever amount you can to support our efforts.

Oak Hills Families-There are many ways that you can easily contribute!

June 2-GATE Field Day! GATE will be hosting a day of games and fun on the field, and we will be collecting spare change! So save up those quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies (even dollars!) and send them in with your child to school on that day. All money collected will benefit our Water.org fundraiser.

June 5-Movie Night! GATE will be joining forces with PTA at the year-end Movie Night. GATE students will be debuting the movie they created with the Generation Arts Program! They will also be selling popcorn, drinks, baked goods, and spirit wear, with all proceeds benefiting our Water.org fundraiser.

For every $25 that we raise, Water.org can give someone access to safe water. Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years. Together, we can change lives with safe water.
