2nd Grade is currently studying global citizenship and the causes of water pollution in India. The unit we are studying drives towards the essential questions: “What rights should people across the world expect and fight for, and why? How can you as a young citizen use your knowledge of the social sciences to make a difference in the world?”
We decided to start raising money for Water.org, because we believe safe water is necessary for life, and there are 660 million people around the world without it. Access to safe water can change a person’s world, and allow them to define their own future.
Our end of unit project is to raise money to donate to India. That is where you come in! Help our little citizens realize that you do not have to be big to make a big difference in our world! Every penny counts, we do not discriminate on what you choose to give :)
Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years. Together, we can change lives with safe water.
Send an email inviting everyone you know to give water. Remember to share your story and why you are passionate about raising funds to change lives with safe water.
Post one of these graphics on Facebook or Twitter. Tag Water.org so we can see what you’re up to and cheer you on.
Not ready to donate? You can still make a big impact by sharing one of these.
