Judy Dickerson's Water Project

I have a great concern for the women and children responsible to bring water for their families. The time, energy, and danger that is involved in getting water is unacceptable. Water.org is working to change this, through their community-focused approach to safe water and toilets.

Thank you for partnering with me, and for your generous and heart-felt support of my fundraiser!

It is with great pride that we have made progress toward our goal in such a short time! Between April and November 2015, the members of First United Methodist Church Cedar Hill, Boy Scout Troop 520, and community members came together and raised $7,500, part which happened to be at the same time as a Water.org matching opportunity, that doubled our impact!

There's more to come:

In April of 2016, we will be catering a thank you banquet for the volunteers at the food pantry.

There will be more bake sales, garage sales, aluminum can drives to look forward to.

Soon we will start recycling ink cartridges--an easy way to support the cause (and help the environment at the same time!)

Whatever we can do to raise funds and awareness for Water.org's life-giving work, we will.

Thank you all for sharing in my passion to make the world a better, safer place, one drink of water and trip to a toilet at a time.
