Every 90 seconds a child dies from a water borne disease. I'm running (more like trotting) the Colder Bolder 5k in Boulder, Colorado on Dec. 5th with a 5 gallon tank of water harnessed to my back. It is harder than it looks - believe me. My goal is to run this with at least 2 gallons of water in the tank. I'm hoping to raise some money and awareness towards the plight of women and children around the world who struggle each day to collect safe drinking water. As noted on the water.org site, women and children around the world spend 125 million hours each day collecting water. Very often travelling 5-6 kilometers. Your $25 donation to water.org can assist in providing safe water for one person for several years. I appreciate your support and hope to one day run a 5k with my 5 gallon tank closer to full.
