Summary Year 2011, at the end of monsoon season, continues torrential rains havoc the southern districts of Sindh Pakistan. 23 districts were badly affected. The floods damaged the areas that were already extremely poor and added to miseries of the people by creating food insecurity, shortage of safe drinking water and wide spread of water borne diseases in the area. CIDP with the mandate for provision of safe drinking water to the disaster affected communities planned install Hand Pumps. What is the issue, problem, or challenge? Year 2011, at the end of monsoon season, continues torrential rains havoc the southern districts of Sindh. The Continues rains and bad planning of LBOD (left Bank out fall drain) caused southern districts floated. It has been observed that some of the (IDPs) are returning back to their devastated villages and are struggling to re-establish their lives and very difficult to access for safe drinking water at their village. How will this project solve this problem? Considering the fact that Union Council Asgharabad Taluka Shahdadpure of District Sanghar Sindh Pakistan one of the most badly affected by monsoon flood 2011, if we will carry out the proposed project the installed hand pumps will benefit around 1200 families who are still deprived of hygienic drinking water facility. We are positive that is going to bring a relief to the area and reduce the occurrence of water borne diseases. During the flood all existing resources of water damages now a day’s community shifted their homes but unfortunately other donors cover 20 % of the UC Asgharabad of District Sanghar Sindh Pakistan. According to data Union Council population is 27685 and households are 2935; women are responsible for stock water for all type of use as per culture. Some villagers/Women also going 1 and half kilometer away from their villages/ homes; They also engaged their child in the water storage purpose and child want to go in the school mostly water storage time is morning, second thread is women going to another neighbored home so they are no save; rape issues are increasing, third communities not properly bathing so increasing health and hygiene problem in flood affected areas. If international community fund 108$ then we can save 10 family members till 5 years because of one hand pump at one house hold and of the age of the hand pump is till 5 year without miners repairing. If we can provide $ 108 one hand pump at 10 houses as cluster base the we can save 1000 children, women, and men for 5 years through this basic requirement.

Potential Long Term Impact The present and the future generation of 600 families will face lesser incidents of death and malfunctioning.
