As we celebrate our marriage, we are overwhelmed by how lucky we are: because we found each other, of course, but also because we are safe and secure in a world where so many are in need. That's why instead of giving us gifts, we'd love if our friends and family helped us to help others!
Water cuts across many aspects of fighting global poverty and injustice. Access to clean water to drink, wash and cook with is crucial for public health, and improving public health is a key driver of development. Moreover, because girls and women around the world often have the dangerous and time-consuming task of finding water for their families, safe and affordable access to water enables more girls and women to seek education and employment.
