Every 90 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease and 1/3 of all schools lack access to safe water and adequate sanitation. Children are often responsible for collecting water to help their families, taking time away from school and play. Access to safe water and sanitation changes this. Reductions in time spent collecting water have been found to increase school attendance.
Every $60 I raise gives one family access to safe water, giving children time to play and opportunity for a bright future.
