Mahatma Ghandi said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." It is in this spirit that OmLuxe, a yoga and personal growth-based travel collective, and Water.org, a nonprofit organization committed to bringing safe water to millions who lack access, have partnered to provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those who wish to make a difference, while generating global consciousness and selflessness.
OmLuxe co-founders Jennifer Grace and Pamela Jones will pack up their yoga mats and travel to Peru with 20 others for a journey of introspection, communal compassion, and spirited activism. Manifestation in Machu Picchu, scheduled for April 12-19, 2014, was created with the goal of raising $20,000 for Water.org. Each retreat participant will call upon their family, friends and professional connections for donations until the goal is collectively reached.
Around the world, 780 million men, women and children lack access to safe water. This negatively impacts their health, keeps children from attending school, and traps millions of people in a cycle of poverty. This all changes when solutions to accessing safe water are implemented. Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White, Water.org has been helping people develop sustainable solutions for more than 20 years.
