Briarwood 2nd Grade Lemonade Stand

Ms. Cunningham’s second grade class at Briarwood Elementary learned about the world’s goals for safe water and sanitation for all and decided to help. They hosted a lemonade stand outside of Papa Keno’s Pizzeria and inspired passersby and pizza lovers to help change someone’s world with access to safe water.

They learned that 785 million people — about 1 in 9 — lack access to safe water; 2 billion — about 1 in 3 — lack access to a toilet, and decided to support to change this. Together, we can empower families around the world with access to small, affordable loans to make household water and sanitation solutions a reality. is an international nonprofit organization that has positively transformed millions of lives around the world through access to safe water and sanitation. Founded by Gary White and Matt Damon, pioneers market-driven financial solutions to ensure everyone has access to safe water and sanitation – giving women hope, children health and families a future.
