Dear family, friends & even internet strangers!
Service has been an important part of both of our individual lives, and we know it will be a foundation of our married life together. With this in mind, we've set up this fundraiser in lieu of an extensive registry.
Which brings us here! Water.org is an international nonprofit organization that has transformed millions of lives by improving access to safe water and sanitation through affordable financing.
Access to safe water and sanitation drastically changes an individual's life by unlocking education, work opportunities, and improved health for families across the world. These resources are particularly transformative for women and girls, who are disproportionately affected by the international water crisis, as they are often responsible for collecting water.
We chose Water.org for our fundraiser because they go beyond one time charity efforts and instead leverage market-driven financial solutions to provide sustainable access to safe water and sanitation. As a water resources engineer and financial analyst, this particular cause and organizational approach is dear to our hearts.
