Water connects every aspect of life. Access to safe water and sanitation can quickly turn problems into potential – unlocking education, work opportunities, and improved health for women, children and families across the world. Every $60 donated will help provide one family in need with life-changing access to safe water or sanitation.
844 million people — about 1 in 9 — lack access to safe water; 2.3 billion — about 1 in 3 — lack access to a toilet. Water.org is dedicated to changing this and you can help. Together, we can empower families around the world with access to small, affordable loans to make household water and sanitation solutions a reality.

I will be attempting to swim across the English Channel on September 6th, 2019. Water is something that has always been near and dear to my heart. It’s hard to believe that millions of people are living without access to clean water and sanitation. I’ve heard it said that, worldwide, about half of all illness and deaths would be prevented with access to clean water. I would greatly appreciate your contribution to this worthy cause.
In preparation for my English Channel swim, I am currently training about 4,000 meters per day in the pool. Additionally, I am traveling to San Francisco every 6 to 8 weeks for cold water training in the Bay. On May 24th, 2019, I will be doing a 20 km swim around Mercer Island in Washington State. If successful, this will satisfy the 6 hour cold water qualifying swim required before I will be allowed to attempt to swim the English Channel.
